A Brief History of Nail Manicure
Painting nails is an ancient art, born in Mesopotamia to distinguish the social class of belonging and also adopted by the ancient Egyptians.
The practice was abandoned entirely during the "dark century", the Middle Ages, to reappear during the Renaissance and slowly slide towards the female universe. In the 1950s, after the birth of the first major cosmetics companies, it was divas like Marilyn Monroe and her famous red nails that decreed its worldwide success.
Sublimation is recent history, of the Third Millennium, when nail art developed allowing you to choose from an infinite range of styles and possibilities such as reconstruction, gels, semi-permanent enamels and even nail piercings.
